Four-Week Program Itinerary
This immersive 28-day program takes students across Kenya, from urban farms in Nairobi to wildlife conservation areas in Tsavo, creating an unforgettable journey of learning and impact.
Week 1: July 3 - July 9, 2025
Farm Establishment and Community Building
Friday, July 3: Arrival and Orientation

- Arrive in Nairobi, transfer to Ubuntu Kreative Village
- Welcome dinner with traditional Kenyan dishes
- Program orientation and team introductions
- Site safety briefing and equipment overview
Saturday, July 4: Team Building & Cultural Immersion

Monday, July 6: Permaculture Theory & Farm Assessment Begin

- Farm site visit and initial assessment

Tuesday, July 7: Water System Planning & Installation Begin

- Morning: Water harvesting systems design theory
- Begin composting system construction
- Afternoon: Install gutters and collection points
- Evening workshop on soil fertility basics
Wednesday, July 8: Water System Completion & Nursery Setup

- Morning: Prepare site for water tank installation
- Afternoon: Complete 10,000-liter tank installation and filters
- Begin filter system assembly and test system
- Build nursery table with shade cloth
Thursday, July 9: Biochar Production and Community Engagement

- Morning: Theory - Soil carbon and biochar benefits
- Afternoon: Produce biochar (multiple small batches)
- Complete 3-bin composting system
- Plant 25-meter vetiver hedgerow with local students
